#1- This week is gonna be mostly full of goodies and sweets for Valentine’s Day. Because even if you don’t have a Valentine you can be in love with chocolate. I’m starting tomorrow with these cupcakes.
#2- Today was one of those days that I ripped through everything in my closet, felt totally disgusted with all of it, and decided I had nothing to wear. I need to go shopping. But I pretty much suck at shopping. I know I’ve mentioned it before, but I really mean it when I say that I missed out on some seriously critical girly capabilities in my teens. I am just not good at it. If left to my own devices I’d probably spend my whole life in tank tops, flip flops, and jeans. Except lately I can’t find a reasonably priced pair of jeans that fit my long legs and ghetto booty. Helllllppppp me. I mean it. Where are you shopping?
#3- I wanted to share this with you last week, but last week’s Manic Monday post was consumed with the Abe’s Market Giveaway (Congratulations, Loretta!). Anyway…

#4-I know I keep going on and on and on about Lucy (especially if you follow me on twitter or Instagram), but she is the cutest, sweetest snuggle puppy and I love her.
#5- In #1 I mentioned Valentine’s Day. Do you have plans? Traditions? Anticipations? I wanna know all about it. I think this year we might try and go the semi-homemade route. I’ve been hinting around for Chad to build me something at work (this is my not-so-subtle hint). There are these metal tree sculptures at the restaurant my brother works for and I know Chad can do this kind of thing… but it’s tricky convincing him to read my mind. If all else fails, someone please tell him to use his metal-working skills to fix my patio table.
#6- Normally my question to you is, “What the h@%* is Norma Jean thinking?” But this week I know EXACTLY what she’s thinking: “That stew-pid puppy.”
#7- I have forgotten to buy coffee filters every single time I’ve left the house this weekend. I need to remedy this problem before it contributes to a most unbearable Monday.
Oh my goodness that kid is the best. Made me smile. These cupcakes were so good. I cannot say it enough. Well done again.
Well, hey there, Heather! I’ve broken out of my work coma for a precious few moments to explore my WordPress Reader. #1: Those cupcakes look ridiculously good, but I’m off the Guinness so I’ll have to modify. #2: I find my jeans at Belk because they have a great selection for REAL women and often have great sales. I spend $30-$40 a pair but they hold up really well. My most recent purchase was Levi’s and I got two pairs because they will no doubt restyle them right out of fitting me again in the near future…always happens. #3: I love Soul Pancake – this is a new one to me, but I am sharing it on Facebook like right now! #4: I did not know about Lucy – I will have to go back and read up. She is adorable! #5: I am teaching a cooking class on a special occasion menu, so that us single people have somewhere to be on Valentine’s for a good meal that doesn’t involve watching groping happy couples at adjacent tables that need to get a room! #6: Norma Jean better watch out…Lucy may decide to show her who’s boss in the not too distant future;-) #7 : I set myself up this way all the time, though in my case it is forgetting decaf tea bags and toilet paper. I need to tape a list to my forehead that obstructs my view – this is apparently the only way to avoid forgetting the important stuff! I hope to have that bagel tool back in stock in about two weeks…Happy Manic Monday!

“That stew-pid puppy” haha I love all your Norma sayings they literally make me LOL haha!!! Your puppy is cute but Norma’s my favorite!!! She’s like the unsung hero in your life story haha Love her!!! Anyhow…online shopping girl, there’s nothing you can’t find online!!! I need to get some new tops myself I keep flashing everyone because my necklines are too big lol Ooops!!! I can’t be bothered with stores but when I do go I always hit up Kohl’s and JC Penny actually they have a lot of awesome things there now and surprisingly very cheap…as in inexpensive!!! lol Ok now I must go read about this cupcakes!!!

I read this yesterday before work (Manic Monday before Monday morning at work is fast becoming obligatory!) and loved having Kid President to start my week! As for shopping and clothes – as you know, I am your total opposite – I own no jeans and live in dresses and heels, but probably all the shops I go to don’t exist there….ASOS must though, right?! Otherwise, it’s all about the vintage/second hand/random quirky one off type shops for me! And as for Valentine’s Day, I’m burying my head in the sand (excluding any chocolate and ckae the kids decide to bring me) and waiting for it all to be over! Hope you get your metal though
