Manic Monday

Spring Planting#1- I really really really hope you had amazing weather this past weekend, wherever you may be. I threw caution to the wind and planted flowers as well as getting a jump on my vegetable garden. I’ve been back and forth about a garden this year because we are hoping to move by late summer and I didn’t want to put in the work and then abandon the fruits of my labor. I put lots of things in pots and I’m hoping that since we planted early we won’t have to leave things (read: Brussels sprouts and Cherokee Purple tomatoes) behind. Also spring with no flowers makes me really sad so that was never gonna happen anyway. I got some sun on my cheeks and stomped around barefoot in freshly turned soil. Are you planting anything?

#2- I can’t even remember how I found this the other day, but it will make you laugh. I promise.

#3- I had a dance off with the cutest little girl while standing in line at the grocery store on Saturday evening. She was 4 and sported big pink hearts on her rain boots that matched the tiny pink braids running through her hair. Let’s just say that she danced circles around me. Let’s also say that she was the highlight of my evening and I hope she knows how much that made me smile.

#4- If you’ve ever tried to share your life (and your personal space) with another person you know exactly how funny and true this is.

#5- If you follow Sugar Dish Me by email you might have noticed that things look a little different. I switched the email subscription service from Feedburner to Mad Mimi and I am IN LOVE. If you need to send out emails for any reason ever Mad Mimi is where it’s at. Obviously if you are not receiving your emails or if you’re getting duplicates of things that’s stuff I need to know about so please please don’t hesitate to pass on the information. If you send feedback along nicely I might send cookies. Oh and hey! I’ve also been using my Google + account pretty regularly. I like it. Let’s be friends.

Norma Jean Naps

#6- This week I really do not know what the h*@# Norma Jean is thinking. Sometimes when I take photos all sorts of random things get shuffled around very quickly. That’s how this pile of papers, a bag of apples, and a few butternut squash all came to live in the same place for a minute. So while I was trying to make Chocolate Cake Cookies look pretty, Norma Jean was making herself comfortable. This can’t really be comfortable, can it?

#7- I think I put this in a previous Manic Monday post. Maybe not. I can’t remember. It doesn’t matter anyway though because we all need some of this girl’s pep talk EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Watch this.

Oh god, I want to get up on my sink and start saying wonderful things now! LOVE THAT GIRL!! Sadly, I am chickening out of planting my herb garden (35 list!) til I move bacjk to England - mostly because I know it will frustrate me and take several attempts and that if I do it now, I'm likely to finally manage it just in time to leave! I'm glad you have some flowers and some veg to look forward to though! We had awesome weather on Saturday for the wedding, which made a wonderful day even more wonderful! Here's to a great week!

Isn't she the cutest little thing ever? Herb garden-- don't try to start it from seeds and you'll be fine. I moved all my herbs to pots so I had more room for veggies in the garden bed. They seem to be doing really well!

Haha she was so adorable. It was the most fun I've ever had at the grocery store I think.

The baby is cute - reminds me to enjoy the simple moments, and how important laughter is! My email came through this morning with a strange subject line: ${latestItemTitle}. Other than that it looks good!

The weird subject line was Feedburner leftover. That's the code that tells the feed email to have the title of your most recent post (in case you care lol) but it's different in the new program. Fixed it! That baby makes me sooooooo happy.
