I figured out how to have ice cream, frosting, and cake all in one bite. without a spoon.
And I have no idea why I never thought of this before now!!

It’s time again for the Surprise Recipe Swap!
This month I chose my recipe with strawberry season in mind and thankfully, Krista at A Handful of Everything had something that was right up my alley: these Strawberries and Cream scones.
I am a cheesecake cracker.
I usually stick to cheesecake bars because I , without fail, crack the cheesecake EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. There are a zillion billion tips and tricks for how not to crack a cheesecake but I am a lost cause. Mostly I can blame the oven because it is it hot little broken mess. The seal is stripped, the light melted away, and there is no temperature gauge on ANYTHING. In case you were wondering why I tolerate such a serious injustice it’s because we are renting here while we house-shop. A stove will be my first major purchase.
Forget the new couch. We can sit on the floor.
Creamsicles.
Love ‘em? Or hate ‘em?
I think creamsicles are a polarizing sort of food.
Are you guys sick of cupcake recipes yet?
I’m really sorry. Well… actually that was a lie. I’m not that sorry. Also I still have more. And there are more than that in the works. I promise I’m trying to space them out, even though two in one week probably doesn’t seem so spaced. I have plenty of cookies and bars and family-friendly fast meals in the queue, but it’s about to be Mother’s Day and your mama needs cake.
I know that I tell you that every dessert I make is my new favorite but really…
These Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cupcakes might just be it for life.
I mean it.
Remember the S’mores Brownies from the other day?
Here. Let’s just look again, huh?
Today is a really really REALLY special day. It kind of blows my mind, actually.
This day, 13 years ago, I became Andrew’s mom.
These brownies.
Okay let me just start by saying that I totally fell victim to a very accurately placed display while shopping for wrapping paper the other day. My arms were all full of discounted polka dottiness and on my way to the cash register I nearly walked into a giant tower of Hershey’s bars with boxes of graham crackers on either side. Those marketing people have my number.
It wasn’t until I got home that I realized they forgot the marshmallows.
I am so very fortunate to have the most amazing readers and friends evuuurrr. Really.
Sometimes I am even so lucky that I get cool things in the mail. Do you even know how joyous it is to get something in the mail besides junk addressed to the person that lived here before we did 4 years ago?
