Manic Monday

In case you weren’t paying attention, I decided to try something new last week. It includes my Monday posts being full of fun things I want to share with you because Mondays are, by nature, sorta crummy.

Stairs

Love this.

I can’t remember the original source of this photo, but it’s awesome.

Parenthood on NBC

1. TV is back!!! Is it really lame that I’m super excited about that? The holiday break was excruciating for me and when there is no good new TV to watch I do things like blast back to back episodes of Investigation Discovery’s Disappeared from the next room while I work on recipes or clean. That show is bad for my psyche. I get all paranoid and wonder how badly the facets of my everyday life would be misconstrued if I came up missing. Disappeared makes normal stuff like taking a walk seem really scary. So I was thrilled to get lost in new episodes of Parenthood, Nashville, and Scandal this week. So far it’s the only good thing about January.

2. Starbucks got it wrong, you guys. The new Vanilla Spiced Latte was a let-down. It’s a don’t for me. Starbucks: you owe me a venti triple non-fat latte.

3. We chaperoned Andrew’s afternoon with his little friend girl on Saturday. We went out to eat and wandered the loser mall for a little bit. She is the cutest sweetest most adorable little thing; omg I just wanted to squish her! She was gracious and polite and friendly and thoughtful. She had a little bag full of sketchbooks, an ipod full of music, and she shares my sincere lack of understanding for why everyone loves Taylor Swift. Her grandma dropped her off and picked her up and it was such a relief for me to know that she has an adult that is attentive with her the way I am with my kids. Ohhhhh Andrew… I understand why you are so smitten! Anyway… the whole thing was a success & I think they are making plans to find something fun to do again.

4. After months and months I finally put a new post up at Trailer Trashtastic. I got pretty real with it. It feels good to be a little more uncensored and honest. If you feel like delving into it, you can find it HERE.

5. Dogshaming will never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever stop being funny. Ever.

6. While we are talking about funny pets, let’s talk about this week’s edition of what the h*ll is Norma Jean thinking?

Norma Jean
No, really. I need to know.

7. THIS SNL commercial is ridiculous. I can’t stop laughing. I mean it.

Send me funny stuff! It’s Monday. I need it. Email heather[at]sugardishme[dot]com

[...] a bangin’ micro-roasted toffee nut latte that was so so so so so SO great. Starbucks beware. That vanilla spiced latte you gave me last week was a major letdown and Lily Bean Coffee was … the opposite of a letdown. It was [...]

Ok I'm SUPER jealous that you can watch Investigation Discovery’s Disappeared...I wish I still had that channel that was one of my favorite shows. I used to walk around afterwards and try to solve crimes haha We have this unsolved murder of this littler girl here and I literally went to the crime scene and tried to solve it lol Nuts I know but SO fun haha

Andrew's little date sounds SO adorable!!! I wonder if he'll have his first kiss sooon? awwww so cute!!!!

You want funny...this made me chuckle!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVrJ8DxECbg

Netflix!!! There are 4 seasons on Netflix. You know I DO NOT pay for cable. Ummmm no. Disappeared makes me super extra paranoid, though. Not even kidding. Andrew knocked on the back door the other night when he and Chad came back from jiu jitsu class and I seriously jumped out of my skin. I could never survive these marathons if I lived alone!!

There will be NO kissing. Noooooooooo.

You've never seen the Digiorno pizza commercials? "It's not delivery, it's Digiorno!" Except they never say it's pizza. They just call it Digiorno over and over. I love Kristen Wiig. She freaking cracks me up.

P.S. Hahahahahahahahaaaaaa Oh Snap! Instagram dat joint.

"I can flyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy...oh sh*t..a wall!" You officially have the most crazy cat ever. Love the escalator pic - the snl advert doesn't work outside US though. Boo to rubbish starbucks (we by passed it in favour of a too-posh-for-us-really-but-who-the-hell-cares cafe in one of the galleries here, where we had pretty standard coffee, but the most amazing cake!) and in honour of that, I bring you my small find for Manic Monday: http://www.picshag.com/pics/012013/touch-my-cake.jpg

Yay to Sturday going well, and for Andrew's friend being cute and awesome! Keep us posted (and if it carries on going well, make them send me some advice to sort out my own higgledy piggledy love life! haha!)

I'm so sorry the commercial doesn't work! Try it on Youtube maybe? It's Almost Pizza with Kristin Wiig; it's a Digiorno spoof. Ohhh my gah that photo is hilarious. I want to squish that baby's cheeks. We'll see how Andrew's little friend with a girl thing goes... I've been advised that she is NOT his girlfriend lol. Please write more about the online dating. It's not higgledy piggledy. It is good fun though!
