Serves: serves 8
  • 1 small (4 ounce) log of soft goat cheese
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ⅓ cup chopped Smokehouse Almonds
  • crackers or bread for serving
  1. Place the goat cheese on a cheese platter or serving plate.
  2. Place the cranberries and water in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer. The cranberries will pop and cook down after just a minute or two. At the 4 minute mark stir in the honey and cinnamon. You want the mixture to be thick, but you can add another tablespoon of water or so if needed.
  3. Pour the warm cranberries over the goat cheese. Top with the chopped almonds.
  4. Serve with the crackers or bread.
