Cream Cheese Banana Bread

Ingredients
  • ¾ cup butter, softened
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1½ cups mashed bananas (about 3 bananas mashed)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup toasted walnuts, coarsely chopped
Instructions
  1. Pre-heat the oven to 350. Grease two 8½ X 4½ loaf pans.
  2. In a large bowl cream together the butter, cream cheese, and sugar. Beat in the eggs one at a time. Then add the bananas and vanilla.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually beat the dry mixture into the wet mixture. Stir in the walnuts.
  4. Divide the batter between the two prepared loaf pans and bake in the pre-heated oven for 45-50 minutes, tenting with foil halfway through.
  5. The bread is done when it's golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.
