Summer Holiday Parfait
Bite-size cubes of THIS CREAM CHEESE POUNDCAKE, a recipe so simple that Evan read the instructions and made it almost all by himself (point of reference: Evan is 9), layered with Jell-O instant vanilla pudding and fresh sliced strawberries, topped with blue-tinged whipped cream.
Party in a glass.
Happy 4th Everyone!!

OMG, you're so adorable. I woke up to see happy kids' faces with magnificent patriotic parfaits. So cute and fun!!
And uuuggggh, why didn"t I see THIS recipe for satay?? Ron and I used a random recipe and were disappointed. Too vinegary and not rich and delicious like yours! mmmmm.
Aww thanks! Nothin like strawberries, cake, and cream to make 'em smile! I'll tell you, I got that recipe for satay from another blog and I love it. It's always a hit. Really easy, and I usually have all the ingredients on hand. A warning though: If you grill it, the peanut butter burns just a little. You have to watch it. Would be great on pork 🙂 Hope your holiday was great!!
This parfait is a splendid idea! I love it when cake bits are added to parfaits! Nothing else can top that! lol. Happy July the 4th to you too!
Ohhh yes. CAKE. Thanks, Sammie!!!
Oh yeah! Doing the happy food dance 🙂 Happy 4th to you and your family, Heather!
Happy 4th to you, too, Sandra! Hope yours was awesome. I bet you made something amazing in that new kitchen of yours, right?!
Yum to the um! Looks great and your kiddos look super happy with it!
They were 🙂 Course they probably would have been pretty happy with the bowl of whipped cream and a spoon, too.
This parfait looks insane my friend, love the delicious colours 😀
Cheers

I wanted to tint the pudding, but it was a bit yellow and I was afraid we would end up with green instead of blue lol. It was REALLY good, though!
Oh that looks so good:) Happy 4th!
Hope your 4th was awesome!!! Loved your patriotic post 🙂 Poundcake soaked in pudding and whipped cream was sooooo delicious!
