Thanks for this day spent in my kitchen with little boys under foot, listening to 90's-era alterna-rock in between old episodes of Gossip Girl while wearing an apron smudged with cream cheese and cheeks sprinkled with flour dust.
Thanks for a family that laughs together... the kind of laughter that makes your cheeks hurt; you can feel it from the pit of your stomach to the tips of your toes. Uncontrollable laughter that made mom shush us in church and dad roll his eyes, only for the two of them to later laugh at us, with us.
Thanks for my companion who holds my hand and calls my bluff and loves me through all my inner stormy crazy.
Thank you for funny little boys that give me direction when I think I have none.
Thank you for good food.
And great readers. And the friends I've found in them.
