Manic Monday

#1- I celebrated St. Paddy's Day in style this year with my sisters, my brother-in-law, and of course my Chad. We attended the World's Largest Pub Crawl, Rich & Bennett's 13th Annual, on Saturday afternoon. Last I heard 16,000 people purchased the t-shirts needed to participate-- that number doesn't include all the last minute attendees. It was really just an excellent for my sisters and I to share drinks all day, dance like fools, and then have a sleepover. Seriously the most fun I've had in I don't even know how long. Thank you St. Patrick.

#2- I need this breakfast to be a part of my life everyday. 3-egg omelet with Gruyere cheese, spinach, onions, and bacon, a side of the best ever fresh fruit, thick slabs of whole grain toast, and made-in-house blackberry jam. Add to this 3 bites of some insanely amazing coffee cake and a bite of my sister's eggs Benedict... you guys. I will continue to shamelessly plug Terrace Cafe for as long as they keep turning out food like this.
#3- These are some pretty handy tips. I am all about the toaster.

#4- This was the weekend forecast for my corner of North Carolina. SPRING!!! Is something to get happy about.
#5- I just bought these shoes from Nine West. LOVE.

#6- Norma Jean's perch of the week. Proof that all these books are good for something.
#7- Time to start cranking out the Easter recipes!! What are your favorite Easter meal traditions? What about desserts? This is important stuff, people.
Email your Manic Monday suggestions to heather {at} sugardishme {dot} com... Have a great week!!!

Awesome post! How fun for you and your sisters!! 🙂
Thanks, Allison! It was super fun.
Ok I love Norma but is she drunk? haha she looks cross-eyed!!! Love your St. Patty's day weekend sounds like a lot of fun there..but way too many people for me hahaha Adorbs shoes!!! I can't WAIT for spring!!! Literally!!! lol Oh and Easter recipes...love me some jello squares with cream in the middle...and Polish food haha Oh and duh a bunny cake!!!
I vaguely remember your bunny cake from last year-- send me a link! The people at the bar crawl were spread out all over downtown Charlotte and the weather was GORGEOUS. We spent lots of time outside, ate drunk sandwiches on the sidewalk, soaked up 70 degrees and sunshine, and intermittently went into bars that all had plenty of room to dance-- even Chad had fun and he is like borderline agoraphobic. Loving my new shoes-- thanks! And Norma might be drunk. We planted cat grass in pots all over the house and it makes her slightly crazy.
Well that breakfast looks mighty finer .. reminds of a place i ate at in San Francisco.. A little hole in the wall in cafe but darn the best breakfast for $5.. and hey, I like your shoes look just like TOMS!! sporty sister!!
Well... Terrace isn't $5, but they ARE all local, all organic, and all freaking delicious! Those shoes are soooo comfortable. So ready for spring!
Those shoes look super comfortable. I am ready for spring!
Meeee too! And oh my gosh sooo comfortable!
My best friend is moving to Charlotte! I'll have to tell her about the bar crawl for next year! 16,000 people - that's impressive!!!
Oh fun! I grew up in Charlotte (born in Illinois though-- heyyyy). It's a pretty great place to live. Lotsa people from lotsa places. The bar crawl was sooomuchfun!
Wasnt' it a great weekend? Sunshine, warm weather, basketball. Yay, spring! Of course, today bites, but it's Monday and I guess the weather wanted to reflect that 🙂 Have a great week, Heather!
This weekend was amazing. I have Asheville on my radar for next weekend... cross your fingers for great mountain weather! Hope your week is super!
Oh - I love all those random handy hints! (I'm such a geek it made me want to go and grill something in my toaster, dye buttons and print onto a paper bag all at once straight away!!). I am totally adapting that omelette for my lunch-brunch today (as if it needs saying but the adaptation will be to remove the cheese!) - wish I had somewhere fun to go for tasty breakfast (and also someone to take me there!)! Your St Patrick's Day sounds like SO much fun! I'm glad you enjoyed it! And, today I come bearing Manic Monday goodness in return. My friend posted this on her facebook yesterday and I was so intrigued I had to see it. Unfortunately I couldn't find a full episode online (I am looking!) , but it looks like an idea that came out of 30 rock it's so weird in a great way! Maybe you know it already, but it was a revelation to my friend and I, and it instantly made me think of you (I promise that's a good thing!!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Oy8sIN3oow
That clip was pretty great-- thank you!!! Aren't those hints fun? I immediately went to stuff paper bags in the printer after reading it. That omelet was SO serious. Make it! Cheese/no cheese whatever-- bacon is what's important. Have a great week Rachael!!
love the cat picture and this post! happy st pats day x
Thanks, Meg!! Manic Monday posts are super fun to write. Norma Jean is a superstar for real.
